About the Conference
This three-day conference hosts state directors from across the nation to New Orleans.
Objectives
- To support a well-educated and skilled workforce consistent with the principles of the American Competitiveness Initiative (ACI) by providing states with current information on administration goals and Adult Education and Family Literacy Act (AEFLA) state grant administration.
- To provide information to the states related to the reauthorization of AEFLA and its policy implications, particularly related to state plan development.
- To promote peer learning by providing state directors with structured and informal opportunities to share experiences addressing challenges most relevant to the field of adult education.
- To provide training opportunities to states to promote leadership and continuous improvement of state adult education systems.
