Please be aware that all conference participants must make their own travel arrangements for the event. Travel expenses to attend this conference may be paid from the federal adult education allotment, if state policy permits.

Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is approximately 17 miles from the Royal Sonesta.

Taxicabs
A cab ride costs $28.00 from the airport to the Central Business District (CBD) for one or two persons and $12.00 (per passenger) for three or more passengers. Pick-up is on the lower level outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage and $1 fuel surcharge added to total fare.

Airport Shuttle
The Airport Shuttle service is available from the airport to the hotels in the CBD for $13.00 (per person, one-way) or $26.00 (per person, round-trip). Three bags per person are permitted. Call (866) 596-2699 or (504) 522-3500 for more details or to make a reservation. Advance reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel for all ADA accessible transfers. Please call well enough in advance for the specially-equipped shuttle to be reserved. For group reservations of 10 or more people please dial (866) 596-2699. Ticket booths are located on the lower level in the baggage claim area. A $2 fuel surcharge is added to the total fare.

Driving Directions to the Royal Sonesta New Orleans
From the I-10 East

• Traveling from the Airport on I-10 East, follow the signs to the New Orleans Business District and continue to follow 1-10 East toward Slidell.
• The Hotel may be reached from I-10 East by exiting on the Orleans Avenue/Vieux Carre exit.
• Orleans Avenue becomes Basin Street as it curves toward the French Quarter.
• Make a left turn from Basin Street onto Conti Street.
• Follow Conti Street into the French Quarter. The entrance to the hotel's garage is located on the right immediately after crossing Bourbon Street.

• The Hotel may be reached from I-10 West by exiting on the Orleans Avenue/Vieux Carre exit and turning left.
• Orleans Avenue becomes Basin Street as it curves toward the French Quarter.
• Make a left turn from Basin Street onto Conti Street.
• Follow Conti Street into the French Quarter. The entrance to the hotel garage is located on the right immediately after crossing Bourbon Street.
